“Wealth that Matters® is about spending time with my family and loved ones. I have found that I truly enjoy soaking in the special moments with them – playing a round of golf, getting in a game of pickleball, or having a family dinner.”
As a former Division I college golfer, Katelyn brings the same discipline and drive toward excellence that propelled her on the golf course to her financial planning work with physicians. Her commitment to precision and strategic planning, honed through years of competitive sports, ensures that each client receives tailored financial guidance and dedicated support. Physicians often present complex challenges to their advisor, and Katelyn thrives in the challenge of crafting strategic solutions, ultimately making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Katelyn attended Belmont University where she graduated with her Bachelors in Business Administration with a double major in Finance & Marketing. Katelyn holds her Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 registrations, her life and health insurance licenses, and spent time at Taylor Wealth Solutions, Northwestern Mutual, and TD Ameritrade before joining the team at Vestia.
Outside the office, you are likely to find Katelyn spending time with her friends and family – likely on the golf course, playing pickleball, or out on a walk.
When did you first realize you were interested in finance?
The first time I realized I was interested in finance was during my time at Belmont University. Many of times my friends would ask me about the purpose of investing and the meaning of different investments. I would discuss with them the value of investing and explain the complexity and purpose of the market in an understandable manner. I loved being able to help explain investments to others. That is when I knew I had a passion and was drawn toward the industry.
What is the most important thing you have learned about helping other people?
The most important thing I have learned about helping other people is the value of listening and putting in extra effort. By truly listening to others needs, I can better understand how to assist them going forward. Putting in that extra effort, like finding answers and following up promptly, helps build trust and clarity.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy playing golf, spending time with my family, going on a walk, or enjoying a game of pickleball with my friends.
One of Vestia’s values is to model Wealth that Matters®. What does this mean to you?
To me Wealth that Matters® is about spending time with my family and loved ones. I have found that I truly enjoy soaking in the special moments with them. Whether it’s playing a round of golf, getting in a game of pickleball, or having a family dinner – that’s where I invest my time because those moments really matter to me.
